May 9-Victory Day

May 9 is a bright and joyful holiday. On this day, 76 years ago, the Great Patriotic War ended. Many years ago, German troops attacked our land, and our people, young and old, men and women, including children and the elderly, stood up to defend our Homeland. We remember with gratitude the soldiers who defended the world. To all our defenders, and to those who are not with us, we owe the fact that we now live under a peaceful, clear sky. ETERNAL GLORY TO THEM!

Librarian of the Higher College of Geodesy and Cartography Suleimenova Farida Yedilbaykyzy conducted an online review “The names of heroes-in memory forever”, dedicated to May 9-Victory Day.

Objectives of the event:

– expand students ‘ understanding of the Great Patriotic War;
– to cultivate respect for the heroic past of the country;
– to awaken empathy for the people of the older generation;
– to form a positive assessment of such moral qualities as self-sacrifice, heroism and patriotism.
