“Atlas and Map – the language of cartography»

The head of the library of the Higher College of Geodesy and Cartography introduced the students of the 104 TC group in the presence of the head of the group, Aigerim Batyrulanovna Zhapbarova, to the book exhibition “Atlas and Map-the language of cartography”.

The book exhibition presents a globe, atlases of the world, booklets, maps of Kazakhstan.

Goals:

To familiarize students with geographical atlases.

Introduce students to various types of geographical atlases.

Develop the geographical outlook of students,

Introduce the terms cartography and topography, their sections, and their relationship to other sciences.

Learn to distinguish between the terms of cartography and topography and determine the scale of maps.

Instill discipline, a positive attitude to learning, and interest in the subject.
